BBZ Poker Community Awards – July 2023

The BBZ Poker Community Awards are designed to celebrate our students’ success stories and the best posts in our Discord.

We’ll be giving out three monthly awards: the Constant Crusher award, Like A Boss award, and the Best Mic Drop award.

Find out who won in July 2023 below.

Constant Crusher Award

The Constant Crusher Award is precisely what it sounds like: a big shout-out to the person who consistently puts up great results throughout the month.

July 2023’s winner?

Squirrel22.

This BBZ community member really went on a tear in the last week of July.

On the 24th, Squirrel22 won a $99 buy-in tournament on Global Poker for $5,742, finished fourth in an Ignition Poker tournament for $13,439, AND won $2,500 plus a $150 ticket in another event.

Five days later they won a WSOP Circuit Super Series event for $7,107 on WSOP.com, besting 85 total entries.

Plus they won another event on Global Poker for an additional $3,125!

And we’re not done yet.

Capping off July in style, on the 30th they took down the WSOP Sunday Major event on 888.com for $5,182, as well as finishing sixth out of a whopping 2,594 players in another event, good for $5,239.

That’s a damn good month right there. Congratulations, Squirrel22!

Like A Boss Award

The Like A Boss Award goes to someone from the BBZ community who pulled off an awe-inspiring feat across the month.

July 2023’s winner?

mcdoopily.

ACR might soon have to rename the $109 buy-in, $40K guaranteed tournament on Sundays the ‘Mcdoopily Invitational’ after the BBZ community member won it in back-to-back Sunday sessions.

First, they took it down on Sunday, July 9 for $7,740.

Then they were back in business a week later (Sunday, July 16) and won it again for the same amount, defeating a 384-entry field.

Total domination. Keep it up, mcdoopily!

Best Mic Drop Award

The Best Mic Drop Award goes to BBZ community member who dropped the sexiest result into the BBZ Brags Discord channel.

July 2023’s winner?

dirtypheonix.

BBZ student dirtypheonix stopped by the Casino Barcelona to play a €400 buy-in tournament and ended up finishing in second place out of 457 runners, good for a €20,300 score.

It was a lengthy battle that took four hours to complete, but it seems like his opponent was invincible on the day.

Still, dirtypheonix thanks BBZ coach and Turbo Kings founder Brian Fite for helping him play his very best.
