How does the Leak Finder work? It’s simple — just export your stats, upload them, and get instant feedback. For a step-by-step walkthrough, check out our tutorial page here: Tutorial Page
How does the Leak Finder determine its targets? The Leak Finder provides approximate target frequencies to guide a balanced, reasonable poker strategy. Recommended ranges are predefined by our team, based on aggregated preflop and postflop reports, MDF calculations, and other theoretical models, using data from a wide range of equal-stack ChipEV scenarios. It does not account for ICM, PKO, or exploitative adjustments.
What do the results show? The Leak Finder highlights areas where your frequencies differ from theoretical targets, giving you a clear picture of potential leaks in your game. It reviews preflop, flop, turn, and river stats across positions, so you know exactly where to focus your study. A “Good” result means your frequency is within the target range, while “Low” or “High” results flag spots for closer review. Results are a study guide, helping you identify areas for improvement — not a guarantee of optimal play or profitability.
How many hands do I need? It depends on your goals and which areas you want to analyze. For most players, around 50,000 hands is enough to get reliable feedback on the most critical and common spots. That said, the Leak Finder will still provide feedback regardless of your sample size. PokerTracker 4 reports also display hand counts, so you’ll always know where smaller samples might make certain stats less reliable
