Bottom Pair

In poker, ‘bottom pair’ refers to a pair made with the lowest card on the board that matches one of the player’s hole cards.

Examples:

  • Community cards are Ah Th 2d. Player’s hole cards are Kc 2c. Player has bottom pair with a pair of deuces.
  • Community cards are Kh Jh 8d. Player’s hole cards are 9c 8c. Player has bottom pair with a pair of eights.
