Academy funds your tournament buy-ins across approved sites. When your account balances exceed what the firm has invested, the net profit splits 50/50. You never risk your own money on buy-ins, and Academy does not profit until you do.

The total invested is called makeup. Clearing makeup means your balance has crossed the amount funded. A chop is the profit split once makeup is cleared. The default is 50/50; exceptional players negotiate more favorable splits over time.

Academy backs NLHE MTT players operating at $1 average buy-in and above. SharkScope must be opted in with at least twenty-four months of public history before an application is reviewed; we cannot evaluate otherwise. A winning record over that window is expected.

Poker must be a career or serious income. Full-time volume runs 500 to 600 tournaments per month; part-time commitment runs 200 to 300. Coaching and study are conditions of the relationship, as is honest, proactive communication.

Academy does not back cash game players, non-MTT formats, low-volume recreationals, players carrying unresolved makeup with other staking groups, or anyone seeking funding without accountability.

Every player is assigned a dedicated coach. They maintain daily contact with their roster, run bi-weekly one-on-one sessions, and carry accountability on volume, study engagement, and results.

External group sessions featuring elite level guest coaches such as Giuseppe Calio and Stoyan Obreshkov run weekly at no extra cost to Academy Students.

Peer review runs on Discord. Players post hands daily across 140 active members and fifteen countries. Study partnerships are matched by level and format. Senior players review hands for anyone who asks. The community handles the volume of discussion that scheduled coaching cannot.
