BBZ Poker Community Awards – June 2023

The BBZ Poker Community Awards are designed to celebrate our students’ success stories and the best posts in our Discord.

We’ll be giving out three monthly awards: the Constant Crusher award, Like A Boss award, and the Best Mic Drop award.

Constant Crusher Award

The Constant Crusher Award is precisely what it sounds like: a big shout-out to the person who consistently puts up great results throughout the month.

June 2023’s winner?

Pirou96.

Everyone has to start somewhere in poker.

For Pirou96, that starting point seems to have been a $200 deposit spread over multiple sites.

They started with the micros, and then with a few scores under their belt, they moved up to $11 buy-ins. Aggressive bankroll management? Certainly.

But it has certainly worked out for them so far.

Like A Boss Award

The Like A Boss Award goes to someone from the BBZ community who pulled off a particularly impressive feat across the month.

June 2023’s winner?

Schwibbs.

Most players would be content with just one WSOP circuit ring. Having two would be incredible.

But winning three? That’s just greedy. Who do you think you are, Schwibbs? Phil Hellmuth?

In all seriousness, Schwibbs is one of the hardest workers in the BBZ community and deserves all of the success he gets.

We predict he’ll be the Hellmuth of circuit rings. Mark our words!

We spoke to Schwibbs all the way back in 2021 when he’d just won a PASCOOP title and was hoping to turn pro.

Best Mic Drop Award

The Best Mic Drop Award goes to BBZ community member who dropped the sexiest result into the BBZ Brags Discord channel.

June 2023’s winner?

BALDOUS.

The biggest score posted by a BBZ Poker student in June came from BALDOUS, who banked $27,147 after a three-way deal in the $250 Sunday Grand Prix Europe on GGPoker.

A massive score in a huge event — one which had 1,121 entries.
