Spraggy takes down his second WCOOP title for $68K

The BBZ community continues to crush under the brightest lights on the biggest stages, and there aren’t many bigger stages in poker than Benjamin “Spraggy” Spragg’s Twitch stream.

The Twitch superstar and BBZ Poker student was live in front of thousands of viewers on Thursday, September 9, deep in a $1,050 PKO Turbo event in the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) on PokerStars.

After being down to just four big blinds on the last two tables, Spraggy made a miraculous comeback and began collecting some serious bounties on the final table.

But things very nearly came to an end in this huge pot which resulted in an incredible tournament-saving river card.

There’s no better feeling than getting saved on the river for your tournament life. But from that extreme high came a crashing blow. Here’s what a $20K bad beat looks like:

There was an instant bounce back, however, as Spraggy took it down to three.

Spraggy would also take it down to heads-up, despite his opponent having an incredible amount of outs in this all-in.

And after the final hand–with fellow streamer and BBZ Poker student Parker “Tonkaaaa” Talbot on the line–there was only one question that needed answering:

“Are we geniuses?”

With that, Spraggy won his second WCOOP title and collected $30,848 plus $37,484 in bounties. He won his first WCOOP trophy in 2020 for $4,349, making it two in consecutive years.

“Somehow Lex is going to one-up us,” said Talbot, who also won his second WCOOP title on the same day (more on that later this week).
